Anritsu Site Master S331P
Ultra-Portable Cable and Antenna Analyzer
The Anritsu Site Master S331P is an ultra-portable cable and antenna analyzer designed for field deployment by wireless network installers, contractors, DAS engineers, and public-safety technicians. It offers one-port measurements including return loss, VSWR, cable loss, and distance-to-fault (DTF) across a broad frequency range (150 kHz up to 4 GHz or 6 GHz) in a pocket-sized module. Powered via USB from a Windows PC or tablet (no internal battery required), it is ruggedised for field use and supports operator-level reporting.
Key Features :
- Wide Frequency Coverage: Choose between models covering 150 kHz to 4 GHz or 150 kHz to 6 GHz — allowing both low-frequency radio communications and higher frequency applications such as LTE-U in the 5 GHz unlicensed band.
- Ultra-portable & Lightweight: Weighing under ~0.4 kg (<0.9 lb) and measuring approximately 52 mm × 148 mm × 36 mm (2 in × 5.8 in × 1.4 in) — designed to fit easily into a pocket or tool bag for tower work.
- USB-Powered (No Battery Required): Runs from the USB port of a Windows tablet or PC (Windows 7/8/10), eliminating the need to carry and manage a battery pack in the field.
- Direct DUT Connection: Uses an N(m) connector which allows direct connection to devices under test (DUT) without requiring phase-stable auxiliary cables, reducing measurement uncertainty and setup complexity.
- Rugged & Field-Ready: Designed for demanding field conditions — resistant to impact, dust and splash, making it suitable for tower, rooftop, or outdoor deployment.
- User Interface Modes: Offers “Classic Mode” (familiar to existing Site Master users) and “Advanced Mode” (modern GUI, up to 8 markers, 6 customisable touch icons) for enhanced productivity.
- Comprehensive Software Support: Compatible with Anritsu’s software suite for post-processing and reporting: Line Sweep Tools (LST) for generating PDF/HTML reports, easyTest™ for scripted test flows, and SkyBridge Tools for trace management.
- Efficient Sweep Management: Stores sweeps, setups, screenshots; quick preview of stored sweeps; standard “*.dat” sweep file format ensures compatibility with operator workflows.
Why it might be useful :
- Ideal for technicians needing a highly portable analyzer that can be easily carried to tower tops, rooftops or in vehicles.
- Suitable for both legacy low-frequency radio installations (public safety, VHF/UHF) as well as modern wireless infrastructure including LTE-U and small cells.
- Helps reduce measurement setup time and complexity through direct connection and USB power.
- Enables detailed reporting and documentation critical for installation verification and acceptance in operator environments.
